چکیده
Novel technology has been applied to improve students’ learning abilities in different disciplines. The research this field is still finding suitable methodologies, tools, and evaluation mechanisms devise frameworks with high impact on performance. This article describes an instructional method perform Newtonian physics experiments by programming a mobile robot. Such allow the learners design, implement visualize concepts, thus using robot as cognitive tool or mindtool. An accurate assessment of students gain, involving 29 high-school students, shows that proposed provided significant improvements understanding first Newton’s law, second Newton law superposition principle. gain measured through Force Concept Inventory questionnaire. From study, we can state knowledge about physics, even without giving specific lectures subject much shorter lecture plan respect traditional lectures.

Learning Real-Time Programming Concepts through VxWorks Lab Experiments
The paper describes activities leading to support of an academic instruction and industrial training in the area of time critical software development. Most of the modern software deals with external interfaces and has to consider various timing implications. Familiarity with real-time concepts and proper use of software engineering process to develop real-time software became the critical comp...
متن کاملLearning to Perform Physics Experiments via Deep Reinforcement Learning
When encountering novel objects, humans are able to infer a wide range of physical properties such as mass, friction and deformability by interacting with them in a goal driven way. This process of active interaction is in the same spirit as a scientist performing experiments to discover hidden facts. Recent advances in artificial intelligence have yielded machines that can achieve superhuman p...
متن کاملBayesian Learning Experiments with a Khepera Robot
This paper presents a new robotic programming environment based on the probability calculus. We show how reactive behaviours, like obstacle avoidance, contour following, or even light following, can be programmed and learned by the Khepera with our system. We further demonstrate that behaviours can be combined either by programmation or learning. A homing behaviour is thus obtained by combining...
متن کاملRobot Collision Avoidance Using Programming through Imitation
This paper deals with the collision avoidance of the cooperative robots using the programming through imitation. Each physical robot acts fully independently, communicating with corresponding virtual prototype and imitating her behaviour. Each physical robot reproduces the motion of her virtual prototype. The estimation of the collision-free actions of the virtual cooperative robots and the tra...
متن کاملRobot programming through multi-modal interaction
As robots enter the human environment and come in contact with inexperienced users, they need to be able to interact with users in a multi-modal fashion—keyboard and mouse are no longer acceptable as the only input modalities. Humans should be able to communicate with robots using methods as similar as possible to the concise, rich, and diverse means they use to communicate with one another. Th...
